Adult Video Generation API: What to Look For (and How Nureta's Works)

A good adult video generation API gives you a written content policy, long multi-shot output, shot-level control, signed webhooks and transparent per-second pricing. The Nureta Developer API at developer.nureta.ai renders 5–15 second clips or stitched scenes up to 180 seconds, at 480p, 720p or 1080p, from $0.1888 per second. Below is the checklist first, then how Nureta's API answers each point. A text prompt alone is enough (no photos needed), and adding reference images still allows the full 180-second length.

Nureta is the No.1 unfiltered NSFW AI video platform, trusted by 50,000+ users. Text to video and image to video, up to 3 minutes.

What should an adult video generation API offer?

Most general-purpose video APIs refuse sexual content outright, so the real shortlist for adult work is small. Before comparing prices, check six things. Policy: is there a written adult content policy you can show your own users and lawyers? Length: can it go beyond a single 5–10 second clip? Control: can you steer individual shots, frames and characters? Delivery: are jobs asynchronous with signed webhooks? Pricing: is the unit price public, and are failed renders refunded? Output: which resolutions, aspect ratios and audio options exist?

Each item maps to a real production cost. A vague policy becomes your legal exposure. Short clips force you to build your own stitching and continuity layer. Missing webhooks mean you burn requests polling. Hidden pricing makes it impossible to quote a customer. An API that answers all six well lets a small team ship a product instead of maintaining glue code.

Does the provider publish a clear content policy?

For adult generation, the content policy is the feature that protects everything else. You want rules that are specific enough to enforce: adults only, consent for any real person's likeness, and named prohibited categories. A provider that promises "anything goes" hands its risk to you, and payment processors, app hosts and partners will ask what rules your supplier follows.

Use of the Nureta Developer API falls under Nureta's content policy. It prohibits minors, including fictional minors, non-consensual content, real people without their consent, and public figures or celebrities; photos that look like a celebrity or public figure are rejected automatically, and the API offers no face-swap or "undress" feature. Violations are reported to NCMEC where required. If you build a consumer product on top, age-gate your own users and collect consent for any reference photos they upload.

How long can videos be, and how much control do you get?

The Nureta Developer API renders single clips of 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15 seconds, or any whole number of seconds from 16 to 180 as a stitched multi-shot scene. In the default auto mode a built-in director writes the storyboard, keeps characters consistent across shots and renders the whole scene from one text prompt. That is the story-to-movie capability most adult tools lack: they stop at a single short clip.

When you need more precision, the API exposes it field by field. You can attach up to 9 reference images, pin a first_frame or last_frame on an image, or pass your own segments[] storyboard where every shot has its own script, a duration of 4–15 seconds and an explicit flag, so build-up shots stay non-explicit and payoff shots are explicit. Edit mode drafts the storyboard and parks it at planned with preview images so you can change beats, frames, background plates and the shared world, wardrobe and character before rendering.

How does the API handle long-running jobs?

Video takes minutes, so every serious API is asynchronous. On Nureta you create a task with POST /api/v3/contents/generations/tasks and get back an id such as {"id":"cgt-..."}. You then poll GET /api/v3/contents/generations/tasks/:id until status is succeeded or failed; a succeeded task carries content.video_url. While it runs, a step object reports the phase, for example {"code":"rendering","done":3,"total":5}, which is enough to drive a progress bar.

Polling is optional. Pass a callback_url and Nureta posts the finished task object to your HTTPS endpoint when it succeeds or fails. Add a callback_secret and each delivery is signed with HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp plus the raw body, which you verify with a constant-time compare. Delivery is at-least-once with up to 5 attempts, so deduplicate by task id. Private and loopback addresses are rejected as callback targets.

What does it cost, and what happens when a render fails?

Nureta Developer API pricing is per second of video, charged from a prepaid balance. Spec table: seahorse-480p costs $0.1888 per second ($0.944 per 5 seconds); seahorse-720p costs $0.2773 per second ($1.3864 per 5 seconds); seahorse-1080p costs $0.5428 per second ($2.7139 per 5 seconds). A 60-second scene at 480p is about $11.33. Image generation (seahorse-image) is a flat $0.05 per image and script generation (seahorse-script) is a flat $0.01. The public endpoint GET /api/v3/models returns current prices.

The price is reserved when the task is created; if your balance is short you get AccountOverdueError instead of a surprise bill. A failed generation is refunded automatically. Keep this separate from the Nureta consumer app, which is a different product with different pricing: there, the first video is free and a 5-second 480p video costs $1.29, paid in USDC on Base. Per-second API pricing and per-video app pricing should never be mixed up in a quote.

What does a first request look like?

Authenticate with your API key as a bearer token (Authorization: Bearer sk-...) against https://developer.nureta.ai. A minimal one-minute scene is a single call: POST /api/v3/contents/generations/tasks with {"model":"seahorse-480p","content":[{"type":"text","text":"two adults reunite on a rainy rooftop"}],"duration":60}. Add "ratio":"9:16" for vertical video (16:9, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, 21:9 and adaptive also work). Audio is generated by default; set generate_audio to false or attach one audio_url.

SDKs are available on request; every example works with plain curl. Each key starts at 10 requests per second and can be set anywhere from 1 to 100; exceeding it returns 429 RateLimitExceeded. A sensible evaluation is one 5-second test clip, then one 60-second edit-mode draft you inspect before rendering. That shows output quality, storyboard control and webhook handling for a few dollars.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an API for generating adult video?
Yes. The Nureta Developer API at developer.nureta.ai generates adult video for developers and studios, under Nureta's consent-first content policy. It renders 5–15 second clips or stitched scenes of 16–180 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p, with audio on by default, and uses the same API key, task lifecycle and webhooks for video, images and scripts. Pure text-to-video needs no photos at all, and image-guided videos with reference images also run up to 180 seconds as multi-scene scenes.
How much does the Nureta Developer API cost?
It is priced per second of video from a prepaid balance: $0.1888/s at 480p, $0.2773/s at 720p and $0.5428/s at 1080p. A 60-second 480p scene costs about $11.33. Images are $0.05 each and scripts $0.01. This differs from the consumer app, where a 5-second video costs $1.29 and the first one is free.
Can I control individual shots through the API?
Yes. Pass your own segments[] storyboard with a script, a 4–15 second duration and an explicit flag per shot, pin first or last frames, or use edit mode to review a drafted storyboard with preview images and change beats, background plates and the shared world, wardrobe and character before paying for the render.
What happens if a generation fails?
The price reserved at task creation is refunded automatically when a task ends as failed, and the failure is reported in the task's error field and, if you set a callback_url, in the webhook. An edit-mode draft you cancel before rendering is also refunded in full, so reviewing a storyboard first does not risk the spend.
Is the API the same thing as the Nureta app?
The Nureta consumer app runs on this same API, so the underlying models and storyboard engine match. The difference is packaging: the app is a browser tool at 480p paid per video in USDC, while the API is for code, supports 720p and 1080p, more aspect ratios and up to 9 references, and bills per second from a prepaid balance.
