AI Video Resolution and Length Explained: 480p to 1080p, 5 Seconds to 3 Minutes

Nureta's consumer app renders adult AI video at 480p, as 5, 10 or 15-second clips or multi-scene videos of up to about 3 minutes, whether you start from pure text or from up to 2 face photos. The Nureta Developer API adds 720p and 1080p, single clips of 5 to 15 seconds and stitched videos of 16 to 180 seconds. Here is what those numbers mean, what they cost, and how to choose.
Nureta is the No.1 unfiltered NSFW AI video platform, trusted by 50,000+ users. Text to video and image to video, up to 3 minutes.
What resolution and length do AI adult videos come in?
Most AI video generators, adult or mainstream, produce short single clips of roughly 5 to 10 seconds, at resolutions from 480p to 1080p depending on the model and the plan. Nureta covers both the short end and the long end. In the consumer app, every video renders at 480p with sound. You can make a single clip of 5, 10 or 15 seconds, or a longer video in which several scenes are stitched into one movie of up to about 3 minutes. That applies to pure text-to-video, where a story or script alone produces the video, and to image-to-video, where up to 2 face photos of consenting adults cast the characters. The first video is free with Google sign-in (it carries a small Nureta watermark; paid videos have none), and after that a 5-second video is $1.29.
For higher resolution or programmatic control, the Nureta Developer API offers the same engine at 480p, 720p or 1080p, priced per second of video. The consumer app itself runs on this same API.
What do 480p, 720p and 1080p actually mean?
The number is the height of the frame in pixels. For a standard 16:9 frame, 480p is about 854 by 480 pixels, 720p is 1280 by 720, and 1080p is 1920 by 1080, so 1080p holds roughly five times as many pixels as 480p. On a phone held in your hand, 480p looks clean; on a large monitor or a television, the extra detail of 720p and 1080p becomes visible.
Resolution is only one part of perceived quality. In AI video, motion, lighting and whether characters stay consistent from shot to shot usually matter more than pixel count. A well-written 480p scene with clear action often looks better than a muddled 1080p one.
How long can an AI video be?
A single AI generation is short by nature: models create a few seconds at a time, and 5 to 15 seconds is the usual range. Longer videos are made by generating several scenes and stitching them together. Nureta does this for you: write a longer story or choose a longer option, and it produces a multi-scene video that plays as one movie of up to about 3 minutes, with sound in every scene.
Length changes how you write. A 5-second clip holds one moment; 10 to 15 seconds holds a short beat with a start and an end; a video of up to about 3 minutes holds a real story with a set-up, a build-up and a payoff. Our guide How to Make a Longer AI Video covers the craft of writing for stitched scenes.
Consumer app vs Developer API: how do the specs compare?
Consumer app: resolution 480p; lengths of 5, 10 or 15 seconds, or multi-scene videos of up to about 3 minutes; input is a text scene plus 0 to 2 face photos; sound on by default; price $1.29 per 5-second video, or credit bundles of $3.79, $7.99, $15.99 and $39.99, paid in USDC on Base. Nureta Developer API: models seahorse-480p, seahorse-720p and seahorse-1080p; single clips of 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15 seconds; stitched multi-scene videos of 16 to 180 seconds; up to 9 reference images; generate_audio on by default; priced per second of video from a prepaid balance.
The API also lets you decide how the length is spent. In advanced mode you write your own storyboard of segments, each 4 to 15 seconds long with its own script and an explicit flag, and edit mode lets you adjust beats, durations and frames before rendering, without the price changing.
How do length and resolution affect price?
In the consumer app, price follows length, not style or subject. A 5-second video is $1.29, 10 credits equal one 5-second video, and longer videos use more credits because they contain more footage and more scenes. There is no subscription and no auto-renew.
On the API, price is per second of video, and the rates for 480p, 720p and 1080p are listed in the Nureta Developer API docs. Keep the two price systems apart: $1.29 per 5-second video is the consumer price in the Nureta app, and per-second rates are the API price for developers.
Which resolution and length should you choose?
For a first try, make a 5-second clip: it is what the free first video covers, and it shows quickly whether a scene or a face photo works. For a single moment, 10 or 15 seconds is enough. For a story, go multi-scene and let it run up to about 3 minutes.
Stay with the consumer app's 480p if you watch on a phone or keep videos private. Move to the Nureta Developer API when you need 720p or 1080p, batch generation from your own pipeline, or per-shot control over a long storyboard.
