Auto Chaining: Smoother Joins in Long AI Videos

Auto chaining is a switch for Nureta videos longer than 15 seconds. You find it on the confirm step before you pay, and on the storyboard if you edit it. It is off by default. With it on, each shot starts from the last frame of the shot before it, in the same place, so the joins between shots are smoother and the people stay more consistent. A change of place is still a cut. There is no extra charge, but the video takes longer to render, because the shots render one after the other. This guide explains what changes, how sex scenes are handled, and how auto chaining works with Fix a part.

Auto chaining: the facts
Here is what auto chaining changes, in one table.
| Fact | Nureta |
|---|---|
| Where | On the confirm step before you pay, and on the storyboard if you edit it |
| Which videos | Videos longer than 15 seconds |
| Default | Off |
| What it does | In the same place, each shot starts from the last frame of the shot before it |
| Why | Smoother joins, and people stay more consistent from shot to shot |
| Change of place | Still a cut: the shot in the new place starts fresh |
| Shots with sex | The last frame of the shot before is used as a reference, so the act still renders well |
| Price | No extra charge: the same seconds at the same price |
| Render time | Longer, because the shots render one after the other |
| Fix a part | Works on chained videos. The join to the next part may jump: fix that part after this fix finishes |
What auto chaining does
A long Nureta video is a series of short shots stitched into one video. Without auto chaining, the shots render side by side, and each one starts from a fresh picture. The characters, their clothes and the setting are carried across every shot, but a join can still show a small jump in a pose, the light or a face.
With auto chaining on, each shot opens on the last frame of the shot before it. The new shot picks up where the last one ended, in the same place and with the same people, so the joins look smoother and the people stay more consistent through the whole video. Turn on the Auto chaining switch on the confirm step before you pay, or on the storyboard before you render if you edit it. It stays off until you turn it on.
A change of place is still a cut
Auto chaining links only the shots that happen in the same place. When your story moves to a new place, for example from a bar to a bedroom, the first shot in the new place starts fresh. That is a cut, as in a film, with the switch on or off. The shots after it chain again, as long as they stay in that place.
If you add your own first frame to a shot on the storyboard, your frame is used. If the frame from the shot before can't be used for a shot, that shot renders without it, as it would with the switch off. Your video does not fail because of auto chaining.
Sex scenes in a chained video
A shot marked Sex in this shot on the storyboard is chained in a different way. It does not open on the last frame of the shot before, because a fixed opening picture would make the act render worse. Instead, the shot gets that last frame as a reference image, so the people and the place still follow on from the shot before, and the act still renders well. The content policy applies to every shot, chained or not: adults only, fictional or consenting.
Render time and price
Auto chaining costs nothing extra. The video has the same seconds and the same price with the switch on or off.
It does take longer. A shot can start from the last frame of the shot before only when that shot is finished, so the shots render one after the other instead of side by side. The total time is close to the time of all the shots added together, so a 3-minute video can take several times longer than with the switch off. Turn it on when smooth joins matter more to you than speed, for example for a long story that stays in one place. If you want the video sooner, leave it off.
Fix a part on a chained video
Fix a part works on chained videos. A part that you remake starts again from the last frame of the part before it, as that part is now. If you remake the part before it at the same time, the remade part starts fresh instead.
The join to the next part can jump, because the next part began from the old ending. To smooth that join, fix the next part after this fix finishes, as a new fix. If you fix both parts at the same time, the next part starts fresh, so that join becomes a cut. Each part you remake is paid like any Fix a part: you pay only for its seconds.
